Configure locations and staffing minimums

Tell Auto-Assign how many people each location and shift requires.

For: Organization Admin
For: Department Manager
Plan: Professional, Business or Enterprise

Add locations

Open Settings, then Schedules & Templates. In Locations, add each active work location. Locations are available when the organization has the feature enabled on a supported plan.

Add a minimum

  1. 1In Minimum employees per location & shift, select a location.
  2. 2Select a shift template.
  3. 3Enter the minimum employee count and save.
  4. 4Repeat for every required location/template pair.

Effect on Auto-Assign

Location minimums create staffing demand and are prioritized by Auto-Assign. If no eligible employee can fill a location, the coverage preview and diagnostics report the shortage.
