Configure breaks and overnight shifts

Break settings

• Break minutes must be a non-negative whole number.
• Paid break preserves the break time in paid/scheduled hours; unpaid break is deducted where hours are calculated.
• Break start is optional and is only available when break minutes are greater than zero.
• The organization can set whether newly created breaks default to paid. Existing shifts are not changed by that default.

Overnight shifts

When the end time is earlier than the start time, ElShift treats the end as the following day. Start and end cannot be identical.
